T.I. Pulled Over By Police For Reckless Driving, Blames Fight With His 'Girl'

Atlanta, GA –

T.I. has had some serious run-ins with law enforcement in his life, but his latest was luckily far less serious.

On December 1, footage surfaced of the Atlanta rapper being pulled over on I-85 North in Atlanta after speeding past a police car and almost hitting another driver.

When stopped, Tip blamed his driving on an argument with his passenger.

“I was arguing with my girl,” he told the state trooper. “She was getting on my nerves. I apologize. She was getting under my skin.”

“Sir, I understand that you have a very difficult job,” T.I. continued. “I understand that there’s a lot of stress that comes with that job. I don’t want to add to it… I’m telling you the honest-to-God truth.

“Me and my old lady were arguing. If you go ask her, she’ll tell you. We were arguing, and I was trying to get home as fast as I could to get out of the car.”

He elaborated: “You ever been with your girl, and she’s just harping on something, it was really, really a minute point, something that could really be overlooked, and they were just paying a lot more attention to it than should be paid to it?

“I just wanted to get home as fast as I could so we could get out of the car so I can go to my space and she can go to her space.”

The identity of the female passenger T.I. was referring to is not visible on the video. However, it is likely that it was his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris.

The officer ultimately issued T.I. three citations and let him go.
