21 Savage Calls Cap On Kodak Black’s Claims He Changed After Drake Team-Up

21 Savage has literally called cap on Kodak Black‘s claims about him switching things up after he’d teamed up with Drake.

The “Rich Flex” rapper took to Twitter to respond to Yak’s claims, which he made in an interview with Drink Champs that went live on Saturday (October 28).

“Drake just got a certain little effect he do to muthafuckas,” Kodak said in the interview, after expressing how he and 21 used to be cool. “After the album [Drake and 21] did together, all of a sudden, that muthafucka on that pussy-ass shit. You vocalize it on the ‘Gram, on the internet, like you ain’t never vibe with me.”

Savage, however, disagreed with the assessment, and hopped on Twitter on Sunday (October 29) to drop a series of “cap” emojis in response. Check out the tweet below.

21 Savage and Kodak Black have had a contentious relationship with one another for quite some time — and Drake has been in the middle before.

Earlier this year, Kodak Black revealed that he didn’t want to work with the 6 God due to Drizzy’s close relationship with 21 Savage.

The Florida rapper was planning to drop a whole project with Drake, but as he explained on Instagram Live on February 21, the release of the rapper’s  Her Loss collaborative album with Savage last November made him reconsider.

“I had told Drake I ain’t wanna do no collab, actually,” Kodak said. “No songs or no album, ’cause we supposed to been did a whole album together before him and lil buddy did that shit.”

He added: “I had told him I wanted to wait, like 2023, after February.”

Several months prior, 21 had claimed that he’d beat any of his fellow 2016 XXL Freshmen, including Kodak, in Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s popular sound clash series.

“I’m smoking Kodak [in a Verzuz],” he said. “Nah, Kodak got some shit, though. It just depends on how a n-gga play it, how it goes. N-ggas be acting like I don’t got that shit, that’s what be the problem. People be forgetting. I don’t know what n-ggas be thinking.”

21 Savage went on to remind fans of some of his career achievements, invoking J. Cole’s famous “platinum with no features” bragging rights.

“Before all this Drake shit, I’ve been having hits, been having diamond songs,” he added. “I’m probably the only n-gga of this generation to go platinum with no features. They always talking about, ‘Oh, Savage a feature artist.’ No, Savage went platinum with no features. My first album, Issa Album, went platinum with no features.”

Kodak Black caught wind of 21 Savage’s comments and jumped on Instagram Live to issue a response, suggesting the Slaughter Gang boss has been ducking his attempts to arrange the Verzuz battle.

“21 don’t want the smokes, man,” he said. “That n-gga ain’t say nothing yet. I done DM’d that n-gga. Man, wassup? Run it. I done hit Verzuz. Don’t be capping on this internet, homie. You ain’t ready to stand up in that fire, boy.”
